General Clay Cartwright is not too happy as he is trying to get as many new Regulators by any means necessary to get Darkwatch back up and running. "General, even though we need more Regulators but we shouldn''t kidnap people from the towns we save", one of the Regulators said. "Does it look like I care about that right now agent? For saving them they owe us their lives and what better way for them to do so than working for us?" "But why is the Darkwatch Scientist experimenting on some of them?" Cartwright slammed his cane to the ground. "Because agent, if that half-breed attacks I want to be ready to take his head off. Now did I tell you to ask me questions or did I tell you to help the new Regulators get settled in?" The Regulator walked off as Cartwright looked over the mess that is still needed to be cleaned up. "You can''t do this!" one of the people yelled at the Regulators. Soon this place will be back up and this unholy war will be won by Darkwatch. Then Darkwatch Scientist Gil Sebastian went up to Cartwright. "We have the reports of the experiments General." "What are you waiting for, an invitation? Speak up with that report!" "Right General", the scientist replied as he opened the folder. "Out of the one-hundred people that where chosen for the experiment, only five survived and they are all teenagers." "Perfect, stuck up brats to deal with, what else is there?" "They are still adjusting to the treatment and they should be ready for training in a week." "Have those brats ready for the training grounds by tomorrow." "But General..." the scientist replied as he was cut off. "But General nothing, these freaks better be good for something besides to use a gun like the rest of the men I got. Make sure your wife is informed on that as well." "Right away General Cartwright", Gil replied as he walked off. Then the Scientist returned to his post where Darkwatch Scientist Darcy Sebastian was looking over the five large glass pods that are hanging from the ceiling in another room. "So, what did Cartwright say?" "They have to be ready for the training grounds by tomorrow", he replied, shocking his wife. "That''s insane, they are too unstable, especially the fifth one." "I tried to tell him, but you know how the General gets, especially after what just happened." "That isn''t a good enough excuse. We still don''t know what they are truly capable of." "Well, we are going to have to do a lot of checks to make sure nothing goes wrong." Now in Cartwright''s Office, he set his cane next to him and sat in his chair at his desk peacefully. That was until his thirteen year old daughter Mary in a black dress came out of hiding. "DADDY!" she called out as she hugged him, nearly giving the General a heart attack. "Mary Ann Cartwright! What in Sam Hill are you doing at Darkwatch? How did you get in here anyway?" She smiled at him. "First I snuck on your war train. You really should get more security on that thing. Then when I got her I told the Regulators that I was your daughter and they took me right here." "You know you aren''t supposed to be here, go back home because I need to get a lot of work done." She pouted and turned her back to him. "But that''s all you do, I haven''t seen you at home in a while." Cartwright slapped his forehead. I really don''t need this right now. He thought as he said. "If you promise not to mess up anything, I will let you stay here till I can take you home." She looked back at him with a smile on her face. "Thank you daddy", she then hugged him once again.
