
The Bourne Conspiracy - Animation - 05/27/08

As Animation Director for High Moon Studios, I helped developed the characters and animation for The Bourne Conspiracy. One of our earliest goals was to capture the cinematic feel of the Bourne movies. We used a blend of tools and techniques to build our animation performances, including key framing and motion capture as well as extensive video reference to develop the experience in our game. For the final look, we chose to use motion capture as the base for most of our animation to deliver the level of cinematic realism we were looking to achieve. To get the base level of performance we used trained stunt actors including Jeff Imada, the renowned Hollywood fight stunt coordinator who created the fight style for all three Bourne films. Then, using Autodesk's Motion Builder and Maya, our experienced key-frame animators sculpted the performances to enhance and intensify them.
