Darkwatch - Shipping the Game! - 08/16/05

Today is the big day. Darkwatch is shipping to retailers, and soon will be in the hands of gamers everywhere. This is a time of high anticipation here at High Moon Studios as we hold our breath and see if our game has hit the target. We like it, our friends and family like it, the press likes it - but the jury is out on the most important verdict of all - will the gamers like it?

One group that I know is going to love Darkwatch is our dedicated "insiders." Darkwatch has had the enormous good fortune to be adopted and enthusiastically supported by as dedicated and positive a group of fans as you'll find anywhere on the web. Working from only a few scraps of information - a screen shot here, an article there, a glimpse of gameplay from e3 - a loyal legion of fans have not only kept the faith by counting down the days until the game's release, but they've also come together to build an amazing community based around the game and the world of Darkwatch.

It is to these invaluable early adopters that this new web (added space) site section is dedicated. The horrific majesty of Darkwatch, for so long the secret joy of a dedicated few, is about to spread far and wide to an unsuspecting audience. In time, the weird saga of Jericho Cross and the Darkwatch will be familiar to fans of video games everywhere. But our insiders will never forget that they were here first, in the know, and on the ground floor with us well before Darkwatch was a reality.

And we at High Moon Studios will never forget that you were here for us through the long and sometimes difficult development of our debut video game.
